I call it Spirit Noise. It's a high frequency sound in my right ear or in the right side of my head. I first began to hear it when I was 10 years old, just after my grandmother (who had lived with us) passed. I also would smell Lavender, which is HER scent. It was years later that I realized I had experienced my very first ADC's.
Initially, when I heard the Spirit Noise I thought I was hearing someone turning on the TV or the stereo... something electric. But the Lavender scent baffled me.
Anyway, the Spirit Noise does come and go; usually comes when I'm thinking of one of my Loved Ones but Last Night it woke me UP and didn't go away for at least a half hour! I told my "Gang" to Please Quiet Down! After a little while it grew faint and a thought came into my head that they were being close to me because something was going to happen. And yes, I suspect it's because a long time friend has cancer and been given a 3 month time limit. That's the only thing I could think of.
