Oh, THANK YOU for checking up.... I am doing okay. Over the sobbing at every little reminder. It took over a week for that. Although I still catch my breath a bit and feel that burning in my eyes.
I have asked Idgy to help me find another canine companion. And I'm keeping myself open to any shelter or rescue that knocks me between the eyes.... Just beginning to look.
I do appreciate you asking.... Many folks don't understand.
Interestingly, my husband's dog (Deeter) told me last night that he still missed Idgy. He was very restless and every time I woke up he would be at the exact places Idgy always slept at...even the space where I used to have Idgy's bed, at the foot of my side of the bed, but I've removed it. The second place is a big dog bed next to our office. For some reason it tends to stay empty, but there he was.
