Carol Ann and her husband Don were ministers, and good friends of mine. Carol Ann was from Scotland. I was out walking my dog, a few days after Carol Ann died of cancer, when I clearly heard Carol Ann in her unmistakable Scottish accent telling me to "encourage him." I felt as if Carol Ann was right there by me. I knew right away that Carol Ann meant her husband Don, so I quickly returned home and sent Don a short email to encourage him, and let him know I had heard from his dear wife.
