Quilt". They also help raise money and awareness for hundreds of AIDS service

KidsPeace
is a private, not-for-profit charity dedicated to serving the critical
behavioral and mental health needs of children, preadolescents and teens. KidsPeace provides specialized
residential treatment services and a comprehensive range of treatment
programs and educational services to help families help kids anticipate
and avoid crisis whenever possible. This is a great source for helping kids
deal with grief.

L.I.F.T.
- New beginnings for widows and widowers:
A program sponsored by Dignity Memorial. The goal of L.I.F.T. (Living
information for today) is to create an atmosphere of comfort and support
for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one and to provide an
opportunity for improved quality of life through personal involvement and
contribution. They have many wonderful activities, including: Luncheons
and guest speakers, educational seminars, cultural events, sunset dinner
cruises, casino nights, out-of-town trips, annual picnics, etc. There are
no membership fees for this group.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving
(MADD):
A national organization dedicated to stop drunk driving and to support victims of this
violent crime. MADD has over 500 local chapters and offers victim support groups for the

(MISS): M.I.S.S. is a grass roots organization dedicated to supporting
parents one to one after the death of an infant or young child. Referrals to peer contacts
and ancillary organizations offered. Grief workshops are available for professionals who

National Hospice Organization
(NHO):
The only non-profit organization devoted entirely to promoting and maintaining quality
hospice care for terminally ill persons and their families. NHO offers referrals to more

The largest self-help organization in the world for parents, families, friends, and other

international correspondence network for bereaved parents. They match participants by the
type of death and the age of their children, which allows them to give each other mutual
