Loved what you said about your mom -- "She would switch back and forth between beds because she said her best medicine was my dad with his arms around her." That love between the two of them goes on and on. And they will be together again one day. :)
I totally agree with you about the neighbor man next door. Bless his heart, he was trying to do what he could to make things better! "The husband probably meant well, after all he did offer his help. People often don't know what to say to someone who has just suffered a loss and he was probably filling in an uncomfortable moment with talk about the chores he needs to do around the house. It doesn't mean that he was being insensitive." Bless him for taking the time to come over and visit.
