Thank you, Josies-angel.....Today has been a mix of emotions between grief and relief for him.
Shed came to us as a 2 yr old and his owners were divorcing. The man was taking out his anger on Shed by beating him. The woman figured out what was happening and asked us to "dog-sit" him while she was at work. Ultimately she asked us if we would keep him.... Shed attached himself to me, of course. It took some time for him to trust my husband -- or ANY man.
At least the majority of his years were good.
