Right after my mom died, a redbird perched on a limb outside my bedroom window and chirped his little heart out for at least 5 full minutes without stopping. When he flew away I absolutely broke down and sobbed! I know I've told it here before, but I placed a small stuffed redbird in the casket with her, a gift from me the year before. She loved it and was so thrilled with she pressed on his belly and found out that activated several chirps. I'll never forget the look on her face when it did that. So naturally I had to place it by her side before I said goodbye to her for the last time. I also bought one for myself and I am SO glad I did! |
