Hi Pat,I really don't know what is going on but please do not think these happenings are a bad omen of sorts. I have heard that blackbirds are a bad omen too but I really don't believe it because I see blackbirds around this area a lot.
Maybe its just your brother letting you know that he is around you and wishing you a Merry Christmas. I believe our loved ones check in on us often but mostly during the holidays because the holidays bring a mixture of happiness and sadness and its a time of family and gatherings.
