STM,
It was a gift because I was feeling so blue missing him. Christmas time was always special to us. Our ritual was to go out and find the largest fresh tree we could find to fit our ceiling. And then they would cut it down and we would haul it home and then wrestle with the Christmas tree stand. Then we would have Thanksgiving leftovers. We did this for 40 years, always the day after Thanksgiving. People would stop by to marvel at the size of the tree. We were kind of notorious for this. I am continuing the tradition.
Thank you for the encouragement. It means so much to me to hear everyone's thoughts on this. It really reinforces my beliefs.
Hope everyone will hear from their loved ones!
Kate
