Thank you for your message. My mom is recovering nicely. I didn't get a chance to respond below- she had the laparoscopic procedure and was home the same day.
Unfortunately, she picked up a cold at the hospital and I picked it up from her. As we were starting to feel better, we both developed a severe upper respiratory bacterial infection that required antibiotics. Our Doctor called it a super infection as it “attacked” when we were vulnerable from the cold- it didn't feel so super at the time :/
We're doing better now, but we were both really sick and laid out for quite a while! I can't complain, though, when I saw my mom back in recovery after her surgery and knowing she was ok, was the most beautiful thing I had seen in a very long while.
I have been trying to get over this super infection and have been off my computer, but I wanted to thank Mary, CATH, yourself, Donnie’s Carol, ShiningLight1967, Denise, Mona, Andy, Linda, Josie's-angel for your prayers; they meant so much to me!
