Andy, There might be something to that. If the tv is on, our physical brain is receiving the information of what's on tv. I've noticed that I sleep better when I just let music play, rather that tv, and when I wake up I seem to have a better understanding of questions that I ask my loved ones before going to bed. Maybe the tv does cause interference on our receiving side.
