Statement of Purpose:

The ADC Project offers a public forum of fellowship for all who choose to visit, post, or browse, with a Guestbook, Message Board and other features to provide for inquiry and discussion of After-Death Communications (ADCs), related spiritual topics and experiences, inspirational material and teachings, as well as bereavement support. ADC respects all religions, is non-denominational and non-sectarian, and welcomes divergent points of view, as long as they are offered with respect for all parties concerned. Please remember that an ADC is a direct and spontaneous communication from a deceased loved one, a family member or friend, known to you before they died, without the use of a psychic, medium, ritual, or device.

Discussions/Postings:

ADC subscribes to the ethic of 'principles before personalities.' The intention of the ADC web site is to offer an atmosphere of support for all guests and staff, in a spirit of mutual respect, appropriate adult decorum, with safety and goodwill for all concerned. Everyone is welcomed in our discussion forums and encouraged to share personal stories, exchange ideas, and discuss viewpoints and principles. However, as adults, we can disagree without also being disagreeable. Therefore, personal attacks will not be tolerated, whether towards a fellow guest or staff member or another person not present, such as a public figure, and will be promptly deleted by our Webmaster. We also expect that you will refrain from sexually explicit discussion or similar material, for the security and comfort of our visitors and their children.

Guest Responsibility & Risk:

All participants understand that use of the ADC web site is at your own risk, including offering your email address publicly and other identifying information, such as your name, mailing address, and/or telephone numbers. You are responsible for what you write and say in the ADC forums. The ADC Project assumes no responsibility -- legal or otherwise -- for what is written here. You are responsible for knowing and adhering to these published guidelines.

Copyrighted material, private email text, and other privileged information may not be posted here without prior written permission from the original author. If you find that your postings to the ADC web site have been copied, emailed and/or publicly posted or distributed elsewhere or brought to the ADC forums by another for posting without your permission, which constitutes violation of your privacy or copyright infringement, please notify the ADC Webmaster directly so the situation can be promptly addressed.

If and when sharing someone else's ADC or personal experience, be sure it is with their prior permission for public display or, if appropriate, change their identity to protect their privacy.

Your Nickname:

We respectfully ask that guests and staff choose and use a consistent nickname when posting to the ADC web site. We expect that guests and staff will not attempt to impersonate any other person, entity, or public figure at the ADC web site.

Use of Email Addresses:

Sharing your personal email address is optional at ADC. However, guests and staff will not use any displayed ADC email address to transmit unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "chain letters," "spam," or other forms of solicitation.

Advertising/Solicitation at ADC:

ADC guests and staff are welcome to post information to recommend related web sites, chat services, media events or programs, books/movies, or conferences and workshops that might be of interest to the ADC guests, as long as it does not infringe on anyone's personal privacy. However, advertising or solicitation that implies and/or encourages the offering of professional services, the exchange of money, fees, or donations for access to or use of services and products may not be posted in the ADC forums, unless prior written permission is secured from the ADC Webmaster.

Mediums & Mediumship Readings

ADC experiences do not include the use of mediums, since ADCs are always direct and spontaneous.  Therefore, we request that guests refrain from posting mediumship messages, including questions, requests, answers, readings, transcripts, reviews, endorsements, advertisements, announcements, events, as well as general and/or specific mediumship information.  We ask those primarily interested in mediumship topics to use another site, since this site is dedicated to ADCs.

Warning:

Guests and staff agree not to transmit any message, information, data, text or other materials through the ADC web site that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, demeaning, mocking, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, or that may be invasive of another's privacy.

Recourse:

The ADC Webmaster shall have the sole discretion to remove any message posted on the ADC Message Board or Guestbook that is in violation of these stated guidelines, and if necessary, report grievous violations to the offender's ISP. If you become aware of any messages or dialogues on the ADC web site's Guestbook and/or Message Board that violate these policies, terms, and/or conditions, please submit details directly and promptly via the ADC Feedback page for appropriate action.  Thank you!
